Any answers you could get would be greatly appreciated, especially with this extra long hiatus. Can we expect to see any romantic moments between our parents-to-be (pre or post-baby)? We had a blast at Comic-Con, even without the scheduled appearance by the Bones gang. And while it would have been great to see them, I’m simply proud that they’re trucking through on the new season (especially, Emily!). At least that’s my two cents. On to your question, it depends on your definition of romantic. Frankly, I’m easily wooed by acts of chivalry, and trust me when I say we’ll see plenty of them from daddy-to-be Booth. In an episode where the team investigates a murder in the competitive eating world, (um, ewww) we’ll get a chance to see preggo Bones try to kick some ass. Keyword: Try. You can bet babydaddy is there to stop her before she gets too far. D’awww. And thank YOU for the question.

But she is! She is!

Bones Season 7 Scoop: Booth and Brennan's Family Matters and a New Villain, Squintern
When Bones returns for its seventh season on Nov. 3, the show will be moving into uncharted territory. After a six-season dance around and toward one another, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be living as a couple, preparing for the birth of their first child. How will the show change without the will-they-won't-they romantic tension that's driven the story for so long? Although the show's Comic-Con panel was scrapped, TVGuide.com spoke with executive producer Stephen Nathan to seek answers to that very question. Plus: He talks about working around Deschanel's real-life pregnancy, a new long-term villain and seeing more of Booth and Brennan's families.
Was making Brennan pregnant the plan before Emily revealed she was expecting?
Stephen Nathan: We'd actually been talking about it even before the pregnancy. We had something to deal with here that was a reality. There are two people that the audience ultimately knew had to get together. So, how do we get these two people together without falling victim to what everybody says is a Moonlighting curse? It seemed to us that this was a way to leapfrog that time in a relationship when it's all lovey-dovey [because] that's when it becomes uninteresting because the conflict disappears...

According to sources, replacing the dearly departed Mr. Nigel-Murray this season will be Finn Abernathy, an 18 year old not-so-Southern gentleman. Why not so Southern you ask? Well, put it this way, he managed to get his undergraduate degree while being confined to a juvenile detention facility.

Or at least that’s what all signs are pointing to when Booth takes part in a hot dog eating contest when the team is tasked with investigating a mysterious death during the second episode of the season entitled “The Hot Dog in the Competition”

And you can bet that everyone, including our Seeley, will be on Brennan Watch when the show returns and they find her in full baby bloom to the point where she has trouble maneuvering around Booth’s kitchen in the morning. Hanson: My first Comic-Con was 2005; I never went before Bones. I’d heard about Comic-Con, but to see thousands of people lined up and a huge number of them wearing costumes? It was astounding; so many Stormtroopers in one place. The funniest thing that happened the first time was with David Boreanaz– he’s like Mick Jagger at Comic-Con and I did not understand that. For our first panel, they announced me first, then David second and I had no warning about the noise. There were 4,000 people there and I had no idea. I may have peed a little. It was astounding. I walked out with him right behind me and the noise was unbelievable...

You know by now that when we pick up with the series, Bones will be in bloom! But John Francis Daley tells us that while Sweets is over the moon about the new bond shared by Bones and Booth, the rest of the team might not have the same reaction. “I think [Sweets] will be thrilled about Bones’ pregnancy because he was the biggest cheerleader for the two of them getting together. This is all of the hard work he believed he did toward the goal of getting them together paying off. I think others on the team might not be happy about it. It is certainly gonna complicate the workplace vibe. I’m sure they will have fun with it as much as they can because that’s the tone of our show in general.”

Look FX is situated deep in the heart of Hollywood. It seems only natural for a high-rating Fox Television show to have its VFX produced out of this facility. Christian Cardona is the VFX Supervisor at LOOK FX and oversaw the VFX pipeline for the series of 'Bones' just completed.
"'Bones' creatives allow us to be really deeply involved in the process with them," explains Cardona. "This allows for new ideas and approaches to come to the table and we feel that we can really contribute to the story telling.
This is important for LOOK FX to be involved." Before any storyboards were done, the LOOK FX leads had an initial concept meeting with the creatives, to go through the screenplay ideas. This is to flush out what exactly happens in the script, action-wise and within the story...

John Francis Daley on His Segue From TV Actor to Horrible Bosses Screenwriter
John Francis Daley isn't content with just his day job. Best known for playing the psychologist on Bones but also beloved for his role in the seminal canceled dramedy Freaks and Geeks, Daley and his partner Jonathan Goldstein have quietly become two of Hollywood's most in-demand comic screenwriters. Bones New Villain
"This is someone who is an extremely odd and fearless foe," executive producer Stephan Nathan tells us, comparing the character to such past serial killers as Gormogon and The Gravedigger. "Only he's going to be much more of a 21st-century, tech-savvy foe."
Fox announced last week that Bones won't premiere until Nov. 3, which will allow the network to air six episodes in the fall before star Emily Deschanel takes her maternity leave. Nathan says those six episodes will primarily focus on expectant parents Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Deschanel) preparing to raise their child together, but they will also introduce the new killer, who will take a while to subdue.
