BONES: Michael Peterson Previews Betty White’s Guest Spot

Betty White is making her BONES debut in the October 22nd hour, “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves,” and the writers found themselves with a teeny tiny problem when it came time to penning the hour. “You can’t write an episode with Betty White in it, and not let every single actor be in a scene with her,” BONES co-showrunner Michael Peterson laughed. “You would have had mutiny on your hands. So it was very carefully crafted. We had to make sure, where’s Booth with her? Where’s Brennan? Where’s Angela? Cam, Hodgins, everybody, to give them that moment.”...

NY TIMES: What’s on TV Thursday

8 P.M. (Fox) BONES Is there anything this woman can’t do? Betty White guest stars as a brilliant forensic anthropologist called in to investigate the remains of a real estate agent gnawed on by some coyote-wolf hybrids. Turns out she has a thing for fantasy football, just like the victim, who was owed a chunk of money by the N.F.L. commissioner and mired in a Twitter feud with one of its stars, played by the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Ronde Barber.

Bones Preview: Fantasy Football and Betty White

There’s nothing quite like seeing Betty White and Emily Deschanel on our television screens at the same time. (Spoilers ahead!)
Yes, Betty White makes her appearance in the upcoming episode of Bones as Dr. Beth Mayer, and she’s even more wonderful than we could have imagined. Dr. Mayer helps the team investigate their latest murder case, which involves a fantasy football league.
Here are a few other things you need to know about “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves.”...

'Bones' Spoilers: 7 Reasons Why You're Going to Laugh When Betty White Visits the Jeffersonian

With spunky Betty White guest starring as Dr. Beth Mayer, a brilliant forensic anthropologist who steps in as the squint-du-jour to help Brennan solve a case, it would be impossible for "The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves" not to be one of Bones' most wet-your-pants-laughing-out-loud episodes in recent history. Add Brian Klugman to the mix as mega douchey Dr. Oliver Wells, the condescending polymath squintern with a stratospheric IQ, and the atmosphere explodes with unabashed inappropriate subject matter, professional rivalry, double entendre (of a sexual nature, of course) and lots of snark.

Also hysterical is our very own Bones Superman, Special Agent Seeley Booth. Playing straight man to Brennan and her absurd view of the universe, Booth had me bursting with laughter at the seven minute mark of "The Carpals in the Coy-wolves," and it didn't stop there. One has to wonder how many takes it took for these two actors to get through their scenes without cracking completely up. You want even more detail-y clues about what makes this episode such a stitch? Here they are....

BONES: 6 Things to Know About “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves”

The Jeffersonian gets a new intern in the shape of TV veteran Betty White on this week’s episode of Bones. White guests as the brilliant and perceptive Dr. Beth Mayer, who comes in to assist on a case, but soon shakes things up, both professionally and personally, in the lab. The episode will see the team investigating the remains of a real estate agent discovered in a forest, while Booth tracks down three murder suspects, each appearing more guilty than the last. Throw Oliver Wells, Brennan’s latest book, and a little professional rivalry into the mix and there’s a prefect recipe here for drama, fun and a squirt of romance. (Yes, we said squirt.) We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends over at FOX, and have 5 teasers to share with you. If you’re a regular reader of these types of articles here at ScreenSpy, then you’ll know we do our best to avoid spoiling major developments and plot lines that might otherwise ruin your enjoyment of the episode (we want you to enjoy it as much as we did). For that reason, we consider the following carefully structured and worded points to be teasers rather than outright spoilers. However, as always, we urge you to be cautious, as one man’s teaser is another man’s spoiler. Here then are 6 things you might like to know about Bones’ upcoming “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves.”...

Press Release: The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves

THE JEFFERSONIAN ENLISTS A NEW SQUINTERN ON AN ALL-NEW “BONES” THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, ON FOX

Emmy Award Winner Betty White Guest-Stars; FOX NFL Game Analyst, Five-Time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl Champion Ronde Barber Also Guest-Stars

When remains of real estate agent Justin Ross are discovered in a forest and appear to have been destroyed by coyote-wolf hybrids, Brennan enlists the help of fellow brilliant forensic anthropologist Dr. Beth Mayer (guest star Betty White) to assist in the investigation. In addition to her professional achievements, Mayer is surprisingly knowledgeable about the world of fantasy football, a key link to Ross’ past and one that could provide vital information in finding his killer. As Booth and Aubrey dig into Ross’ fantasy football league history, they discover he was actively involved in a Twitter feud with NFL star Lou Divers (guest star Ronde Barber), and was also owed a large sum of money from the league’s commissioner, making each of them suspects. Meanwhile, Brennan resists feeling competitive as Mayer impresses the team with her expertise and decades of accomplishments in the all-new “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves” episode of BONES airing Thursday, Oct. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
