Bones Boss Teases Five Major Developments Ahead This Season

Things got a little misty on Bones' spring premiere Thursday night as Booth (David Boreanaz), Brennan (Emily Deschanel), and company were once again forced to face the grim reality of Sweets' death. That painful reminder sets a lot in motion, emotionally, for the remainder of the season: "Everything we dealt with in the first half of the year comes to roost," executive producer Stephen Nathan says. Nathan laid out some of what's to come in what they call "Season 10.2.0."...

Matt's Inside Line: March 18

In his most recent appearance, Bones‘ Max hinted at hiding some secrets from his daughter. Are there any plans for those secrets to resurface and be explored? –Amelia
We delivered your Q to no less than Emily Deschanel, and she responded, “Yes, we get to the bottom of and explain certain things from my childhood. Max lies to me again and doesn’t tell me where he’s going, and I get very suspicious. But then things are revealed that help us understand certain things about Max, his history and my history with him.”

Ask Ausiello: October 29, 200th News!

Question: Any Bones nuggets?  —Susan
Ausiello: How about an updated Episode 200 cast list? The first four Bones vets locked for the milestone hour are… Ryan O’Neal (Brennan’s pa Max), Billy F. Gibbons (Angela’s pa Billy), Laura Spencer (squintern Jessica) and Ignacio Serricchio (squintern Rodolfo). More to come!
Question: Any chance you have some Bones scoop that you have yet to share? —Rachel
Ausiello: The show will take a breather after No. 200 with a run of quieter, more traditional Bones installments. “The 200th episode is a great big, black, sucking hole that all the effort has gone into,” notes series creator Hart Hanson. “So the show is somewhat smaller for at least three or four episodes. We go back to our normal show after the 200th, for a while.”

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain they are shooting the wedding episode right now. It's only fitting that Bones has someone to walk her down the aisle!

Inside TV's Spoiler Room: 6 April

Whatever happened to Booth’s brother? They had an episode where he got engaged to get married & that was the last we ever saw of him. Also since he’s about to be a grandpa will we be seeing more of Bones’ father (Ryan O’Neal)? Thanks. — BP
New gramps Max shows up in the April 30 episode, “The Family in the Feud.” (Well, that doesn’t sound good.) As for Jared (Brendan Fehr), it seems like any possible chance for a return went out the window last season when Brennan announced she was with child. “I’m pretty sure the one that we would’ve gotten to, had we had a normal length of a year would be some more Booth family stuff,” creator Hart Hanson said recently. “But those just went away, because of the shortened season and because we had these strong B stories, character stories connected to the baby.” So I guess you could say the baby’s to blame. Then again, we wouldn’t say that because what jerk blames a baby for something. They’re just babies! (I digress…) Anyway, I have high hopes for a return from Fehr eventually.

Mega Buzz: July 5

So excited to hear about the new villain on Bones. What else have you heard about the new season? — Linda
ADAM:
Executive producer Stephen Nathan confirms that the Nov. 3 premiere deals with an amnesia victim, which forces Booth and Brennan to reflect on their own pasts. That means that Ryan O'Neal will be returning as Brennan's father, but will we meet any of Booth's family in the process? "We'll be dealing with an important aspect of Booth's family as well," Nathan says. "Both of them had quite unique and difficult upbringings. It's about finding out how memories affect [them] going forward."
