Maybe it’s the fact that while we’re seeing all the new fall shows prep for their debuts in the next few weeks we’re still more than 2 months away from Season 7 of Bones (take a deep breath! New episodes are coming!) but I heard from so many of you about your favorite episodes, guest stars and moments in the last six seasons that it’s good to know that the time without original episodes has only made your love for the show grow! And, I have to add, the fountain of knowledge all of you Bones fans have is impressive to the say the least!
As I stated in the original post asking for your thoughts and comments, I’m not doing a poll in the sense of a Top 10 of the best episodes but just thought it would be fun to collect a lot of the episodes mentioned the most and I also found some photos and video clips that are fun, too. So, let’s look back at some of the Best of Bones!...
Question: I’m really disappointed that we’re not going to get to see Booth and Bones tell everyone about the baby on Bones. I want to see everyone’s reaction to the news! —Natalie
Ausiello: Use your imagination, Nat. Tamara Taylor did and here’s what she came up with. “I think Cam was shocked at first,” she speculates. “But also pleased. It was kind of about time.” Taylor adds that the Brennan’s baby bump hasn’t impacted life at the Jeffersonian too much. “Temperance is rolling with it,” she notes. “She’s very technical about what she’s going through with the pregnancy and a little less sentimental. And Cam is mostly dealing with the newest interns. And her daughter’s coming back, so she’ll be in and out throughout the season.” Speaking of Bones, Emily Deschanel has a message for you!
We’ve heard an awful lot about how the unexpected pregnancy will affect Brennan on the upcoming seventh season of BONES, but not so much about Booth. Care to rectify that situation? — Rachel The TV Addict: While it probably won’t come as much of a surprise that Booth’s horrible history with his own alcoholic and abusive father will be front of mind now that he’s in the midst of having a baby with Brennan, what sure might come as somewhat of one is that Producers are in the process of casting Booth’s father and a 7-year old version of Booth for a very emotional flashback in episode 4 which sources have characterized as “the perfect father and son moment.”
Anything new to report on Bones to cheer me up? I’m bummed it’s not back until November. – Alyson We’re going to see a mini-Booth flashback. There’s no speaking. But it already sounds adorable.
While most shows will be returning to our televisions in the next month or so, BONES fans still have to wait two-plus months before they get resolution on that little Booth and Brennan baby cliffhanger. However, the delayed start date hasn’t stopped spoilers from leaking out about the upcoming year.
“I think there’s too much stuff out there [about the new season] already,” BONES creator Hart Hanson told me at the recent Fox TCA party. Still, he and BONES writer Carla Kettner were willing to tease a few things fans should know about season 7…
Is it true that Ralph Waite will be back asBooth's grandfather on Bones? — Liza ADAM: Indeed it is. In fact, he'll return in an episode that will feature three generations of Booth men. We'll actually see Booth's dad via an extremely emotional flashback to Booth's childhood. (Hint: It has something to do with those baseball stadium seats Booth moved into his apartment last season.)
Kathy Reichs, the forensic anthropologist-turned-crime novelist, remembers a time when the finer points of police forensics were a mystery to most people.
"My colleagues and I did our work in our labs, and nobody paid any attention to us," she says. "Now we're rock stars. We don't know why, but all of a sudden we became hot and sexy."
Actually, Reichs had something to do with it, along with Patricia Cornwell and TV's CSI.
Reichs is the author of a series of bestselling novels featuring forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, books that inspired the hit crime drama Bones.
Flash and Bones (Scribner, $26.99), No. 14 in the series, is in bookstores Tuesday.
We chatted with Reichs about the book and the TV series.
The shocking baby bombshell revealed at the end of Bones Season 7 promises to upend many of the relationships on the show — including the one between Agent Booth and Dr. Lance Sweets. John Francis Daley recently spoke with Wetpaint Entertainment about the changes fans can expect in the upcoming season and how the shorter season will affect the pace of the show...
I was in Bones heaven during the recent Television Critics Association Fox party held at Gladstone’s on the beach of Malibu. I had already talked to Hart Hansonand chatted upTamara Taylor so who did I see next but the lovely, smiley Michaela Conlin. We’ve chatted several times now so it was a very easy chat and since shooting on Bones was still pretty fresh, there weren’t too many spoilers…or maybe she did let something slip. Hmmm….read on, folks…and leave me a comment telling me what you think. (And don’t forget to tell me your favorite moments/episodes/guests from 6 seasons of Bones by CLICKING RIGHT HERE)
Jim Halterman: Great to see you again.
Michaela Conlin: Last time I saw you was at the Paley Center...
Do you know the sex of B&B’s BB on Bones? – Tracy What clever use of the alphabet. But no, I don’t know. But Michaela Conlin does, and she claims the big answer will come in episode 2 of this season. Meanwhile, Conlin dishes that Angela and Bones will have plenty to talk about, considering Angela just had a baby and is in the process of trying to figure out how to be a working mom. The one saving grace? “I heard there’s a full-time daycare in the Jeffersonian,” she says.
Question: Have any other spoilers about the new season of Bones? Please? I’m dying here! —Cassie
Ausiello: Mom-to-be Brennan and new-mom Angela finally have something to talk about besides unrequited romance, and Michaela Conlin couldn’t be happier. “There’s been a lot of scenes with the two of them talking about strollers and baby gear,” offers Angela’s portrayer. “I’m really glad that they’re getting a chance to talk about something other than Brennan and Booth getting together. Instead they’re talking about hormones, sleep patterns and names.” Conlin is also pleased that her onscreen son, Michael, is getting a nice chunk of screen time. “I like that we’re seeing the baby a bit,” she says. “I thought maybe he would just be in day care all season. It’s been fun for me to have a real, live child in my arms after so much talk about it.”
In last week’s edition of Ask the Addict you teased that BONES would kick off the season with a first scene that promises to amaze people… Care to elaborate? — Jennifer The TV Addict: Seeing as though we have absolutely no idea as to what Hart Hanson was referring to when he revealed that “the first scene shot is going to amaze people,” we actually wouldn’t care to elaborate. But, what we would be more than happy to do is let you in a little secret with regards to what said aforementioned opening scene won’t involve: House hunting! After-all, that little doozy of a discussion won’t go down until the fifth episode of the BONES’ season that will see Booth and Brennan, well actually more so the multi-million dollar-best selling author Brennan, house shopping online.
Question: Will we see Booth’s Grandpa (Ralph Waite) on Bones this season? —Sarah
Ausiello: You sure will. Gramps reappears in Episode 4 when Booth “is faced with a family crisis,” teases exec producer Stephen Nathan. And guess who else is set to return in that very same episode? Go ahead, have a guess. [Beat] Forget it, you’re taking too long. It’s Tina Majorino’s Special Agent Genevieve Shaw!
Question: Is Carla Gallo going to be back on Bones as Daisy Wick? —Ed
Ausiello: Yes, but the status of her relationship with Sweets will remain “ambiguous” in the early going, according to John Francis Daley. “They love each other very much,” he adds. “I have the feeling — I don’t know this for a fact — that their [relationship] will be unpredictable.”
Beth in Chicago, Ill.: Give us some Bones news! I read some place we will only be getting 13 eps. this season. Not enough. It certainly is not enough, but alas, as of right now, Bones will have a 13 episode season. Know why? Someone got knocked up! Of course, Emily Deschanel might be raring to go after having the kid (ha!), so there might be a chance for more episodes beyond 13. But according to her sis, Zooey Deschanel, Emily is already exhausted. "She's real pregnant now. I think she's excited to actually have the baby," she tells us. "It's probably a challenge. She gets tired a lot. I could imagine that's hard doing a show. But she's a really hardworking person."
Before I spoke with Bones creator Hart Hanson at the FOX/TCA summer press tour party in Malibu, I ran into the always lovely Tamara Taylor and had a quick chat amidst the party goers. Did she really tell me anything I didn’t know? Or did I fill her with cocktails and then ask the probing questions? (Come on…would I really do that?!). [In case you missed my chat with Hart, CLICK HERE…and I also chatted with Michaela Conlin and The Finder star Geoff Stults so those will be coming later this week!]
Jim Halterman: You haven’t been back to work all that long, right?...
Get ready for a primetime soap icon to hit BONES: Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that Morgan Fairchild will appear in the third hour of the upcoming seventh season...
Glamorous '80s primetime soap diva Morgan Fairchild, who seduced her way through Dallas, Falcon Crest and Flamingo Road, has landed a colorful guest spot on the new season of Fox's Bones...

When Hart Hanson told me before the end of last season that the show was going to somehow circumvent the Moonlighting curse, I was skeptical. Then, boom! Bones is with baby. So when I caught up with Hanson at Fox’s TCA party last week, we chatted about the cost of bypassing what some think of as the best part of TV couples who finally get together: Actually seeing them being a couple.
“I really feel like we got to jump the part where the Moonlighting curse could get its teeth in. I always thought the Moonlighting Curse was when two people have sexual tension and then everything’s [suddenly] fine and the world looks the same. What do you to then? We don’t have that. The world does not look the same,” he says. “They got together and we get to start again from a different place.”
So does that mean we’ll never fill in the blanks? Never get a taste of the gooey center of this plot candy? Not necessarily… “I want everyone to tune in to see that. I don’t want to say it’s going to happen, but I do believe people will be pleased with what they see,” he says with a smile. “I think the first images of the new season will explain a lot. I don’t want to blow anything, but people will be as interested and excited as [the creative team is] in where all these characters are.”
Fatherhood the first time around only made this former sniper a better man and enhanced his G-man skills. A new baby figures to kick up his papa bear tendencies.—AW
Bones| With Brennan quite pregnant at the time the new season arrives, watch for Booth to acquire a somewhat unlikely partner in crime solving. “Since Sweets is the only other FBI member of the team, that’s kind of what they’re setting up,” says John Francis Daley. “And Sweets is delighted about that, because he gets to play tough guy.” More practically (since Booth is frankly tough enough for the two of ‘em), Daley says that where Brennan focuses more on the anthropological side of interrogations, “Sweets deals with the psychological. He’s good at telling when people are lying.” Turning to truths, here’s a big one: “David [Boreanaz] is so great to work with, and we have so much fun working together,” effuses Daley. “We’ve had the great pleasure of being able to do it a lot this season so far.” I smell a spin-off: “Sweets & Sour”!
From the sex of the baby, to whether or not Booth and Brennan are going to live together, November 3rd is far too long to wait for BONES to return. Help me TV Addict, you’re my only hope! — Allie The TV Addict: Okay, here’s the thing. Knowing full well how desperate BONES fans are for even the teensiest morsel of information with regards to their favorite couple (Yes, we said it, actual, honest-to-goodness couple. Finally!) our number one mission at the recent FOX TCA Party was to corner anyone even remotely related to BONES and pepper them with questions. That’s the good news. The bad news is that creator Hart Hanson has his cast trained incredibly well, to the point that the only thing the usually talkative Michaela Conlin (Angela) would spill is that Booth and Brennan’s living situation will be made abundantly clear in the show’s first episode back. What’s more, she knows the sex but isn’t clear on the name and jokingly referred to the baby by the famous androgynous fictional SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE character, “Pat,” when asked what name she’d give the baby if given the choice!
BONES scoop please!!! — Melissa The TV Addict: Are you a fan of cryptic messages that could mean practically anything? If so, you’re really going to appreciate the incredibly ambiguous tease that creator Hart Hanson gave us as he held court amidst a gaggle of reporters during the recent Fox TCA Party, “The first scene shot is going to amaze people, the show looks different.” Read into that what you will.
Available from Fox in standard and high-def releases on October 11th
A month ago, just ahead of the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, we passed along word from our old pal Michael Ausiello that a Bones poster intended for the annual event showed that DVDs and Blu-rays of the sixth season were planned by Fox to release on October 4th. Today, however, the folks at Fox Home Entertainment announced their finalized plans to retailers for Bones - Season 6, and the actual street date turns out to be a week later, on October 11th.
Clocking in at a bit over 1000 minutes, the 6-disc DVD set will cost $59.98 SRP in the USA and CA$69.98 SRP in Canada, with anamorphic widescreen video, English 5.1 Dolby Digital audio and subtitles in English, French and Spanish. The 4-disc Blu-ray version will clock in at $69.99 SRP in the USA and CA$79.99 SRP in Canada, with high-def widescreen video and English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, plus the English, French and Spanish subtitles. What's the latest on Sweets and Daisy on Bones? — Megan ADAM: "Daisy is definitely a part of Sweets' life," John Francis Daley tells us, and we can confirm Daisy will appear early in Season 7. But Sweets may have bigger fish to fry. "He is more active in the investigations because Brennan is slightly less able to go on the scene and get herself into dangerous situations," Daley says. "So, you're going to see more of Booth and Sweets working together as FBI agents." Even better, creator Hart Hanson tells me that for the first time ever, Sweets will be packing heat! [Cue the Aerosmith song.]
Where We Left Off: After serial sniper Jacob Broadsky (Arnold Vosloo) killed squintern Vincent Nigel-Murray, Booth and Brennan consoled each other by totally getting it on. The result: Brennan is preggers with a little Booth!
What's Next: Don't expect this season — which will be abbreviated to accommodate Emily Deschanel's real-life pregnancy — to be all babies and burp rags. Executive producer Stephen Nathan promises to introduce a new long-running villain as well as a new squintern (Gossip Girl's Luke Kleintank). Plus everything won't be rosy for our lead duo just because they're a couple. "They're not going to change," Nathan says. "These are two people who see the world in a fundamentally different way, and they're now going to have to find a way to live together and have a family."

@BonesOnFox This weekend was all about Fox (with a dash of FX) at last night’s party held at Gladstone’s on-the-ocean restaurant in Malibu. The occasion, the Fox day at the summer press tour of the Television Critics Association. I found Bones and The Finder creator Hart Hanson just outside the jammed up area of the party so I figured it was the best time to grab a few minutes with him…that is, after we took our first-ever photo together. (For those who haven’t followed on Twitter, Hart has a habit of taking my picture on any press line he sees me). Here’s our chat with the Pacific Ocean but a few yards away...
No Ordinary Familyand Gossip Girlstar Luke Kleintank has been cast in the potentially recurring role of young genius Finn Abernathy, TVGuide.com has learned. Described as brilliant, sweet and a bit rough around the edges, Finn earned his college degree at 16. However, his braininess is balanced with redneck charm. (Think Doogie Howser with Larry the Cable Guy's accent.)...
Given all the fuss around BONES at Friday’s Fox TCA session, Give Me My Remote thought it might be a good idea to get some of our lingering burning questions answered by series creator Hart Hanson.
Whether it was the canceled Comic-Con appearance, the original plan for how season 6 was going to end, if he had any regrets for how the season played out and more, Hanson was game enough to answer our questions.
11:59AM: “We’ve been pretty darn happy with the performance of BONES on Thursday night. As CSI was fading, BONES was looking as resilient as ever. It’s a really valuable show to us,” said Reilly on the future of BONES. “[Despite the fact] our audience profile likes a more adventurous show, we know that a solid relationship show is a staple of TV so God bless BONES because they have delivered this. I like the obtained hour of television and we have nothing coming down the pipe that sort of replaces it.”
Reilly: "Bones," "House" Futures TBD; "Glee" Spin-Off Still An Option
-- "I think the producer would like to keep it going, we'd love to keep it going," Reilly said when asked about the future of "Bones." "We're going to revisit that later in the year but we've been pretty darn happy with the performance of 'Bones' on Thursday night."
Bones, meanwhile, appears to be on much more solid ground, even though only 13 episodes are expected this season, due to Emily Deschanel’s maternity leave, the late start dictated by same, and the plan to share its Thursdays-at-9 time slot with spin-off The Finder. “We’ve been pretty darn happy with the performance of Bones,” especially as the now-relocated CSI began to wane, Reilly effused. “God bless Bones that they have delivered” to to Fox a solid relationship-procedural hybrid.
Given how many rumors are floating around about how many hours BONES season 7 will be (Fox ordered a full season, but given series star Emily Deschanel’s real life pregnancy, it will be impossible to film all 22 hours), Give Me My Remote took the chance at TCA to try and clarify the show’s status.
“13 BONES this year,” Fox’s President of Entertainment, Kevin Reilly told me after the executive panel at TCA. “13 BONES, 13 FINDER. Because [Deschanel]‘s pregnant. We’ve said, if you come back early, we’ll do a few more, but we can’t…it’s just going to be physically impossible to get the full order.”
Question: Do you have any new Bones scoop to keep me going ’til November? —Kelsey Ausiello: How about the 411 on one of the series’ first new cases-of-the-week? My intel tells me it’ll revolve around a toy company exec who was offed by one of the following: her sharky boss, for threatening to strike out on her own; her shifty brother, whom she busted for stealing from the company; or someone else who hopefully can also be described by a word that starts with the letters “s” and “h.”
Question: Will we see Booth’s son Parker this season on Bones? — Sally Ausiello: Yes, but not initially. Parker will resurface in the spring to meet his new little brother (or sister).
When a famous crossword puzzle master is found in an urban fracking site, the team investigates the lives of his fellow puzzle-obsessed players. Meanwhile, “squintern” Daisy (guest star Carla Gallo) wants the team to be in the delivery room with her for the birth of her and Sweets’ baby. - See more at: http://bonesspoilers.blogspot.com/search/label/The%20Puzzler%20in%20the%20Pit#sthash.ZfOHWOW2.dpuf
