Ausiello: Wishful thinking possibly caused by excessive weed use. According to exec producer Stephen Nathan, “Because of our scheduling and the current direction of our stories, Zack will not be reappearing.”

Okay, I won’t say it — but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. At this point, my hunch is based on the tiniest rumble, and I’ll let you know if it gets to code-red panic level. Meanwhile, I honestly can’t think of a single member of this team I’d want to see gone. Can you?

Sweets scoop! The Freaks & Geeks reunion (I was there, too, by the way!) at PaleyFest made me fall in love with JFD even more! – Sarah
If you’re a John Francis Daley fan, you’re in luck. Daley told me before he hit the stage at the reunion that the upcoming Mythbusters-themed episode, which he penned along with his writing partner, Jonathan Goldstein, will be a Sweets-heavy hour — much to his chagrin. “I didn’t want to write myself into it too much because I didn’t want to be that guy. But it happened to be when they were filming the spinoff episode, so they needed Emily [Deschanel] and David [Boreanaz] to go to Florida for half of the time when we did the episode we wrote, so we had to put in a lot more Sweets,” he says. “I ended up being that guy who wrote himself into every scene.” No complaints here.

It’s been driving me crazy, and I just had to ask: What ever happened to Zack on Bones? Was he just written out of the storyline for creative purposes or did Eric Millegan leave the show? Is there any chance of him making a guest appearance or coming back for good? I like the interns but nothing can beat Zackaroni. — Rebecca
First off, Zackaroni is an amazing nickname I wish the show had used more frequently when he was around. Second, they likely won’t get a chance to use it any time soon. I too am completely not over Zack, so I posed this exact question to executive producer Stephen Nathan. “I know that there’s a group of people who want him back, and Eric was a very important part of the show for the time he was on the show. Whether he comes back is partly a schedule of scheduling and partly a function of how the show is working now,” Nathan tells me. “He is locked up in the fiction of the show and that makes it difficult for him to return — as well as Eric [Millegan]‘s schedule. We have some new viewers, many of whom don’t really know Zack. So while we’ve always loved him on the show, it’s not a priority at this point, as much as we love Eric.”

Question: Is it time for us Bones fans to give up on Eric Milligan making a return as our favorite serial killer's apprentice? I'm still holding a grudge against the show for treating him and us so thoughtlessly with that outrageous story line. Can't say I'm thrilled with Booth's new lover, either. If she must stay around, it seems only fair to bring back Sully for Bones. — PL

Matt Roush: Not sure if a Sully comeback is in the cards, since that actor is currently occupied guarding the secrets of Warehouse 13. And how much am I not surprised to get annoyed mail about Booth's new squeeze. Talk about a thankless task. Regarding Eric Milligan and Zack, it really is time to let that one go, isn't it?. I wasn't crazy about how all of that was handled, either, but I have become kind of attached to some of the assistant squints on the rotation (much as I enjoyed the parade of secretaries on Murphy Brown back in the day), so I can now see the wisdom in shaking up that part of the show. Still, it seems to me that if the writers come up with another story that allows them to bring Zack back in for a guest spot, they'd do it, but sparingly.

Recovering from last week's emotional season finale?

Korbi TV knew that the summer doldrums would be a little rough, so we saved some videos to make the hiatus a tiny bit more bearable.

Up first? TJ Thyne (Hodgins) and Eric Millegan (Zack).

The adorable duo was all smiles while celebrating the 100th episode of "Bones" and while they answered a few of our questions, they turned the tables on us as well.

"How were my long [flashback] locks?" Thyne asks in the video below after learning we had already seen the 100th episode.

After months of teasing, speculating, worry, some anxiety and of course anticipation, the time has come for the world to see what went down with Booth and Brennan and the rest of the "Bones" boys and girls way back when.

And you're going to want to return to Korbi TV after the episode, because we're discussing the hour with David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel and maybe a few other VIPs too.

Mega Buzz: The Zack/Hodgins Bromance

I need scoop on Zack's return to Bones. — Jessica
ADAM: I hope this isn't too disappointing, but the reappearance of Zack (Eric Millegan) in the show's 100th episode on April 9 is only in flashbacks. Interestingly, we learn that Zack and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) weren't always buds, which explains why one of the two clubs the other with a baseball bat.

'Bones': Will Zack's name ever be cleared?

"Bones" fans were devastated when it was revealed nearly two years ago that Zack (Eric Millegan) was in cahoots with Gormogon, the serial killer who had terrorized the Jeffersonian gang for an entire season.

The fan-favorite character was subsequently shipped off to a mental institution and we've only seen him a couple times since.

The pain was slightly lessened when Zack later revealed to Sweets that he never actually killed anyone. But it's been over a year and Sweets is still the only one who knows this.

Now, Zack will of course be back for "Bones" upcoming 100th episode, but he will appear solely in flashbacks. So, we want to know, is there any chance "Bones" would have Millegan return to wrap up this present-day storyline?

‘Bones‘ is one of my favorite shows and I can’t wait for the 100th episode, but they really need to bring Zack back for good! The show isn’t the same without him. – Rachel
I hear your cry – it’s one shared by many – but Eric Millegan’s April 8 encore does not portend a full-time return. “I have no plans to bring him back as a regular,” says series boss Hart Hanson. “The ’squintern’ thing is working very well for us, which is why it happened in the first place – to bring more and more stories into the lab. And that’s going to be more and more necessary as time goes on in ‘Bones.’ For production reasons, we need stories in the lab, and the rotating interns provide that.”

The Booth-Rena Sofer news has me in a funk. Any ‘Bones’ news to cheer me up? – Debby
For what it’s worth, Booth isn’t the only one whose social calendar is filling up. It looks like Cam’s getting a new man soon – and he’s a doctor no less!
