False Reporting for Blabbermouth
Zakk Wylde to Guest Star on Bones?
Zakk Wylde: Good am Berserkers, meetings today with animators for new cartoon Im writing and developing. Learning lines for "Bones"....Not doing lines
Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE) has revealed via his official Twitter account that he will appear in an upcoming episode of "Bones".
"Bones" is an American drama television series that premiered on the Fox network on September 13, 2005. The show is based on forensics and police procedurals in which each episode focuses on an FBI case file concerning the mystery behind human remains brought by FBI special agent Seeley Booth to the forensic anthropology team of Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan. Emily Deschanel stars in the title role, opposite David Boreanaz as special agent Seeley Booth. The rest of the cast includes Michaela Conlin, T.J. Thyne, Tamara Taylor and John Francis Daley.
Wylde isn't the first hard rock/heavy metal artist to guest on "Bones". The members of MÖTLEY CRÜE appeared in the series' season finale on May 14. In the episode, the band is playing at a nightclub where a murder victim is found. Guitarist Mick Mars gave The Pulse of Radio a little background on the show and the band's guest spot. "This lady's name is Bones and she goes around and does like forensic things on old bones that they find and stuff and she finds out how the person died or if the person was murdered or if they died of natural causes and that kind of a thing so it was kind of cool."
Mars revealed wasn't the first time MÖTLEY CRÜE had been asked to appear on a TV drama. "A long time ago we were asked to do 'CHiPs' and we kind of passed on it because we thought it was a little bit not us but this is I think more us 'cause, you know, it's like kind of dark and with the skeletons and forensic stuff and autopsy kind of weird thing and everything else and crime scene investigators and stuff that's more, more like a MÖTLEY CRÜE thing," he said.

In an earlier Tweet, it was confirmed that Cyndi would be Angela's psychic. This was also confirmed by Ausiello, I believe.

SN Twitter #1: Update Possible S5 Cryptic Clues
A few days ago, as we reported he posted this: writing Bones in Florida... Land of the free, home of the grave.
Well, today he states in another (not really a standalone spoiler) that: I'll spill (coffee) on him (Hart Hanson) tomorrow.
Which means: Looks like a future case of BONES will have something to do with Florida (as Stephen is still in California). A person? Evidence? B&B on the road? Yay for Stephen's cryptic clues :)
SN Twitter #2: Possible S5 Cryptic Clues
Stephen Nathan tends to speak in cryptic code. So, trying to figure out if he is giving clues or being silly and witty is a challenge.
So, is this person a possible guest star? Or just him talking to refute the notion that if something happen to Hart on the Hill of Death today that he would not do a musical Bones.
For the record, no musicals from me either. Patty Lupone can shriek on her own time.
Now music, that's different.
While Waiting for Real S5 Promos.....
I found this amazing piece of work on YouTube by Beautifullytragic4. While this is NOT at all related to real promos (or lack of promos) it is a very well done piece of work for what we could hope is coming soon from FOX (when they give us real S5 promos)!

Roxie returns to Bones next season?
Matt in Boise, Idaho: Will Angela's old flame Roxie return to Bones next season?
We caught up with Roxie (Nichole Hiltz) herself at the Los Angeles Times' Envelope Emmy screening series, where she told us that she will not be back on Bones: "Not that I know of, unfortunately, but I loved being on that show. I loved playing that part. I wish it had gone on longer and been fleshed out a little bit more. Michaela Conlin is honestly one of the sweetest, loveliest girls I've ever worked with. There was no awkwardness whatsoever. I had a great time on that show. It's a good cast."
Annie in Albuquerque, N.M.: Brennan was so on the baby train last season on Bones! How can she be going back now?
She's not going back as much as she's staying undecided and unpredictable. (All the better to torture us with!) As Bones star Emily Deschanel told us when she was at the Monte Carlo TV Fest last week, "I loved the fact that Brennan was adamant about not having children, because with so many female characters it's just a given that they want children, and I think that is a wonderful choice. I think its important to have people represented who have made the choice not to have children. But I also love and respect the fact that she's unpredictable, and she did make that decision that she wanted to have children. These characters are so unpredictable, they have contradictions, and that was one thing I loved from the beginning of the show."

Bones-Booth Pregnancy Unlikely
Emily Deschanel Says a Bones-Booth Pregnancy Unlikely Next Season
We wuz robbed.
Not only did Bones and Booth not have baby-making sex on Bones last season, they probably aren't going to creating a l'il Brennan anytime soon, as Bones star Emily Deschanel says it's unlikely her character will become pregnant anytime soon.
"There are complications along the way of [Temperance and Booth] discussing having children," Emily explained during an appearance at the 49th Annual Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco. "I think it's very possible she will be pregnant in the future but I don't think its going to happen right away. I think she has some growing to do."
"Everyone is aware that once you get the two characters together you lose that glue that holds the show together, which is that sexual tension," she said. "I think they are being very careful about how to move forward without destroying that tension."
*#@%!!!
Emily also revealed part of season five's guest-star lineup, which includes a very famous lady rock star…
Apparently performer Cyndi Lauper will be stopping by next year. Emily said, "I don't think [Cyndi] will be playing herself, but I'm not sure what role she'll play, they're debating it now." Emily says the guest gig came about when, "I sang 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' in one episode. She saw it and was interested in being in the show. She was an idol from when I was a child so I will probably be beside myself that day."
Stephen Fry will also be backk, and it's still true that Emily's sis Zooey Deschanel may stop by the Bones set one of these days. (FYI, Emily's cinematographer father Caleb Deschanel has directed a Bones episode, and her mother Mary Jo Deschanel, an actress, guested on House last season as Kutner's mourning mother.)
Emily says of the possible sister act, "[Zooey] is interested in being on the show, and I know [Bones executive producer] Hart Hanson would love to have her on the show. It's just a matter of finding time where she's available…It's very difficult because she's always working as an actor or touring as a musician or recording, she's very busy. So just getting the time together to get her to work on bones has been difficult but hopefully by the end we will have her on the show."
Have you dreamed up any good roles for Zooey and Cyndi Lauper to play if and when they are signed on for a guest gig? And how are you feeling about Bones right now after the switcheroo finale?

Bones
Bones rattled viewers by sewing up Season 4 with the three little words Brennan-Booth 'shippers never wanted to hear: "Who are you?" Has Booth emerged from his post-brain surgery coma with no memory of his partner in crime-solving? Capping an episode that existed purely on the pages of a book Bones was writing, the twist left many wishing they could "forget" the preceding 59 minutes.

Poll: Did Bones Jump the Shark?
So now we need help again. Vote in our poll on which of these shows is the biggest Shark Jumper of last season.
We had half a mind to disqualify Heroes, since so many readers said it actually jumped a year ago, during its second season. And we feel especially sorry for the apparently broken Bones and Grey's, which had several critics in our reader comments, but not... one... single... defender.
What can we conclude from these shows being the most-cited Shark Jumpers? Apparently viewers hate hallucinatory sex, a prominent feature of three of the four shows. (Heroes did, however, have a hallucinatory romantic flying scene. And we all know what flying in a dream symbolizes...)
What made these shows so disappointing? We'll turn it over to our anonymous panel of experts:
"No one dies," Wesmark complained of Heroes. "Even when Niki/Jessica died at season's end, there was magically a third clone to keep Ali Larter in the mix. It was an awesome single-season arc for Season 1. It should have ended then."
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much 13, who is as bland and boring a character as exists on television," wrote Showfan, one of many who listed Olivia Wilde's character as one of House's biggest flaws. "Kutner's suicide, with no explanation for it; and yet another hallucination story line."
"Characters growing and developing is a sign of a good show, but Bones doesn't move from stage to stage," Tahonia wrote. "This jump to 'I want your baby' after all the years of 'Why reproduce?' ... is just appalling. Her character has been written to have no perception of anyone else's emotional needs."
"Greys Anatomy jumped the shark for me this year," said Tivouser: "Every episode with Denny the ghost was painful to watch. This story line completely ruined this season for me."

John Francis Daley: Writer?
The studio has tapped the scribes to pen the script, a comedy that riffs on the reality TV genre, especially such shows as "Survivor."
Developed internally at DreamWorks, the laffer revolves around Cal Tanner, the fraudulent star of a cable TV survival show, who is forced to keep himself and his female assistant alive when they're put in an actual survival situation.
Goldstein, whose credits include writing for CBS sitcom "The New Adventures of Old Christine," and Fox's "Bones" and former "Freaks and Geeks" co-star Francis Daley have previously sold their comedy scripts "The $40,000 Man" and "Burt Wonderstone" to New Line. Jake Kasdan will helm "Wonderstone," with Benderspink producing.
They also rewrote the Scott Rudin-produced "Hours of Fun," set up at Disney.

A: Not based on so much as me stealing my friends' names and using them to amuse myself.

Q: Also, I didn't realize how incredibly handsome Arastoo was until he spoke straight English on the finale. Hot! :)
A: Stay tuned for some interested developments in Arastoo's character in the next season.
Nice pop to Bones!
Adds "Bones" creator-executive producer Hart Hanson, "A studio would like to know they're going to be able to sell their product overseas aside from the network that's paying the original license fee. I'm delighted with how well we sell overseas, given that we're a fairly funny show and senses of humor are different from culture to culture. I guess joking over a dead body is a great leveler."
There is the belief that a true procedural obsesses over the crime rather than the characters solving it -- a theory "CSI" executive producer Carol Mendelsohn soundly rejects. "Procedurals get a bum rap," she says. "You think it's a closed-ended thing and there's no character development. You can't have a good procedural without great characters." But that denial hasn't stopped a wave of "crimedys" (as Hanson calls Fox's "Bones") from emerging recently. They're stand-alone crime dramas but with a twist.
Hence the introduction of Marlowe's "Castle" and Noah Hawley's "Unusuals" in this season's new offerings. Hawley is a "Bones" graduate and imported some of that sensibility with him to his own show.

We will not find out if anyone on the Bones cast are nominees to receive the award until July 16, 2009. This again is simply their names are in the running to be nominated for the award.
For Bones:
Submitted for best Drama Series: Bones
Submitted for best Lead Actress: Emily Deschanel
Submitted for best Lead Actor: David Boreanaz

Update
This wasn't meant to upset anyone. I just wanted to assure our blog readers that Bones Spoilers will soon be all-spoilers-all-the-time once the episodes come back in September. So if you're concerned about the non-spoilery direction of the blog over the summer, don't get too excited. It'll all be about spoilers this autumn again! We just want to keep you entertained over the summertime! :)
