'Bones' Fan Columnist: Anywhere But Here Without You
I know this is two days later than when I said I was going to post this article, but I figured, since we don't have a new episode of Bones this week and have a long wait ahead of us until this summer hiatus is over, that this would maybe cheer some of you up.

I've been doing complete season listings of all broadcast series ranked by adults 18-49 rating and total viewer average for years, and a lot of people in the TV industry have told me they find them very helpful. So here they are: the series rankers for the 2009-10 season in adults 18-49 and total viewers (scroll down for that). A few fun facts from the lists: The highest-rated new series this past season: CBS' Undercover Boss. The highest-rated new scripted series: Fox's Glee (in 18-49) and CBS' NCIS: LA (in total viewers). The highest-rated series to get canceled: Fox's 24. The lowest-rated scripted series to get renewed on the Big 4 networks: CBS' Medium (in 18-49) and NBC's Parks & Recreation (in total viewers).

Korbi TV knew that the summer doldrums would be a little rough, so we saved some videos to make the hiatus a tiny bit more bearable.
Up first? TJ Thyne (Hodgins) and Eric Millegan (Zack).
The adorable duo was all smiles while celebrating the 100th episode of "Bones" and while they answered a few of our questions, they turned the tables on us as well.
"How were my long [flashback] locks?" Thyne asks in the video below after learning we had already seen the 100th episode.

Ivey and I disagree on almost everything, including the 'Bones' season finale. As far as I'm concerned? It was character-building perfection.

I say the following with the greatest amount of professional respect: I am actively boggled by how little Ivey understands the characters on Bones. Really, are we watching the same show? I wonder, sometimes, if this accounts for the fact that we never agree on anything. Maybe Ivey just … lives in another reality! This is the only way I could buy his fundamental blindness when it comes to the brilliant character growth exhibited by the Bones season finale, especially in regards to Booth and Brennan. Mostly, in his belief that the show writers are keeping them apart because they don’t trust that the audience will like them together.
Seriously? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. It’s got nothing to do with trusting the audience, and it has everything to do with the fact that this was totally the wrong time and place for them to get together. Period.

Bones – Why don’t showrunners trust their fans?
Why not allow fan favorite relationships to actually become more than hints, teases, innuendo, and stolen glances?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of Hart Hanson. I think he’s done a brilliant job of creating a set of characters that live and interact in what is probably my least favorite type of television show, a procedural. The team at the Jeffersonian, despite all of the sabbaticals taken in this episode, has become a family, with Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan at its head. Where Bones has lost me this season is the continued emphasis on the Brennan/Booth relationship, with no discernible change in what that relationship actually is. Why not allow fan favorite relationships to actually become more than hints, teases, innuendo, and stolen glances?

It's Summertime!
Last year I posted after the finale that there wouldn't be much on the blog for a few months. I was wrong. Yes, there was a little bit of silence, but soon the writing staff went back to work for Bones and then Emily, David, Hart, Stephen and everyone else started doing interviews and making appearances. The blog was once again noisy. So, it might be quiet around here, but it won't be for long. There's still ComicCon and interviews to come! Stay tuned. :)

Bones: Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow
Hart tweeted this and apparently it warmed the cockles of his heart, so I figured it was worth the repost. :)
Before we discuss the Season 5 finale of Bones, I'd like to get a few things out of the way:
1. Booth (David Boreanaz) looks almost too good in camo-gear. He can be my army of one anytime he wants.
2. Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Sweets (John Francis Daley) need their own spinoff sitcom. It would be called "Hodgepodge and Mr. Adventure," and it would contain more hilarious moments like Hodgins letting out a girlish yelp at the sight of Billy F. Gibbons, and Sweets meowing to distract a group of attack dogs. Comic gold.
3. Cam's (Tamara Taylor) wardrobe is phenomenal.

Time to finally retire this poll in the finale! Especially since it's just TWO DAYS AWAY!!!
So, I asked you fans if Brennan were to fly away in the finale (a question which was based purely on speculation, but seems to be becoming more and more likely considering recent promos)... and the results were that most of you, 53%, would be mad, but would continue to watch! The next largest group of you,18%, would be OK with whatever happened... you know it's a possibility and you're OK with it.

ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons returns to rock his role on Bones'
As an actor, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top rocks.
So says Hart Hanson, executive producer of the Fox crime drama "Bones," and he should know: Hanson created a role for the iconic rocker to play four years ago and he keeps bringing him back.
Gibbons returns in the season finale at 8 p.m. EDT Thursday as the father of Angela, a member of the show's quirky crime-solving team. Angela, played by actress Michaela Conlin, is an artist and a free spirit. So it made sense back in Season 1, Hanson says, to give her a freewheeling rock-star dad.
"Billy is a good actor," the producer says. "When the camera is not going, he looks at Michaela, who is an incredibly beautiful woman, the way that a rock star would look at an incredibly beautiful woman. But then we yell 'action' and he has to be fatherly."
And he pulls it off every time.

Ratings rose for The Boy with the Answer over last week with preliminary numbers being 9.05 million, 5.6/10. (They always raise a bit once they add DVR numbers.)

'Bones' season finale prep: Five episodes to rewatch first
Ever since "Bones" creator Hart Hanson tweeted that the fifth season finale would be called "The Beginning in the End," fans have speculated about what the cryptic title means.
The obvious connection is to the fourth season alternate universe finale -- which was titled "The End in the Beginning" -- and while there are some tie-ins between the two hours, they're more like subtle nods.
That being said, Korbi TV has compiled a list of five episodes you should be familiar with in preparation for next week's season ender.
While we can't tell you why they relate to the upcoming finale, we can tell you what the original FOX press releases said about the individual episodes. We can also maybe say whether the press release mentions the reason(s) you should be rewatching them.
