On the Bones Scene: Michael Clarke Duncan and Geoff Stults

Are any of my fellow locals as excited as I am about all the new television shows shooting in our own backyard? Between Burn Notice, The Glades, Charlie’s Angels, and now The Locator, the streets of the 305 will be even busier than usual! (Not to mention all the jobs opening up to the community)
Photographed today were The Green Mile star Michael Clarke Duncan, Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Saffron Burrows and lead actor Geoff Stults who is known mostly for his work on Happy Town and 7th Heaven. (oh and he is smokin’ hot! Check out photo on right!)...

Mega Buzz: Baby Blues on Bones
ADAM: Let's play good news, bad news. Bad news first: "Hodgins and Angela will have to deal with something quite serious with the baby," executive producer Stephen Nathan tells us of the March episode that finds D.C. shut down by an enormous blizzard. (Topical!) The good news: Both parents and baby will survive the snowpocalypse. "We will definitely see a baby," Nathan says.

TV Ratings Thursday: Idol-Fueled 'Bones' Bests Bieber-fied 'CSI'; 'Big Bang Theory,' 'Grey's,' 'Private Practice,' 'The Office' & Others Fall
"Bones was also up 3% from last week to a 3.3 rating in adults 18-49, bettering the 2.9 rating for Justin Bieber’s stuntcastic February sweep return to CSI. Minus the Idol lead-in, Bones vs. Bieber would’ve been a closer match. Bones had a 3.7 adults 18-49 rating in its first half hour (down from the 8.1 rating for Idol’s second half hour) but fell to a 3.0 for the second half hour. CSI had a 2.8 adult 18-49 rating for the first half hour and a 2.9 for the second."

"9/8c | Trailing CSI in total viewers (with 10.2 mil), Grey’s as typical topped the demos, with a 3.7. Bones (now Hannah-free!) drew just shy of 10 million viewers and, opposite the Biebs, enjoyed a 3 percent gain in the 18-49 crowd. The Office‘s (underwhelming, IMO) premiere of Michael Scott’s movie drew 6.4 mil/3.3 (down 7 percent), while Parks and Recreation (4.4 mil/2.3) slipped about 11 percent."

Happy Bones Day!
BONES: Is Brennan the Consolation Prize?
For the first time all season, this Thursday’s episode of BONES will feature Booth and Brennan single and free of significant romantic relationships…just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Luckily for them, they’re investigating the case of a murdered wedding planner, so not everyone will be feeling the lovey-dovey holiday.
We’ve tackled a little bit of what’s next for the Booth and Brennan, but the looming question for many fans is how their relationship will develop now that Hannah is out of the picture.
In this season’s “The Doctor in the Photo,” Brennan told Booth she had made a mistake by turning him down when he wanted to give their romance a shot. Booth’s reply to her confession was that he loved Hannah and his new girlfriend wasn’t a consolation prize.
So where does that leave Brennan now that Hannah is out of the picture? Does that make our girl Booth’s consolation prize since the only reason he’s single is because Hannah rejected his marriage proposal?
I went to BONES creator Hart Hanson to get his take on the situation…

Ausiello: February 15
Question: Could you tell me if we’ll meet Angela and Hodgins’ baby before the season finale of Bones? —Amanda
Ausiello: EP Stephen Nathan sidestepped that question and offered up this cryptic tease instead: “There’s going to be a bump in the road with the pregnancy,” he told TVLine’s Matt Mitovich. “They’re going to be dealing with some events they didn’t see coming.”
Question: Wasn’t Emily Deschanel supposed to direct an episode of Bones this season? Is that still happening? —Jill
Ausiello: It’s been postponed for scheduling reasons, but Nathan still hopes to make it happen. “It’s a difficult situation now because we’re also [shooting] the spinoff [on location] in Florida,” he elaborates. “We have a crew shooting there, we’re shooting two episodes at once, and Emily and David [Boreanaz] both work so hard, such long hours…. It’s difficult, but we’re doing everything we can to work it out.”

Ask Matt - February 14
Question: After watching the last 10 minutes of last week's Bones play out, I was left disappointed and heavy by what happened (which was a big bummer after watching the wonderful Friday Night Lights finale beforehand). Booth clearly should not have been so presumptuous in proposing, when clearly (at least in my humble opinion) he was doing it to prove to himself that he has moved on and can have a successful, lasting relationship. I understand how he could say the things he said at the bar to Brennan. He was upset. I guess what bothers me most is that this episode highlighted just how off and not fun the relationship between Booth and Brennan has been this season, which has made the show much less enjoyable to watch. It makes me even more mad to read comments by the writers who act like they haven't made a misstep. What do you think about the whole situation? Do you think the tone of the show and the central relationship can be fixed? After reading all the heated comments on the community boards (which I know you advise against), it would be nice to hear a levelheaded assessment. — Amy
Matt Roush: Well, maybe it isn't the best idea to use Bones as a Friday Night Lights chaser. Honestly, I'm not sure what the show's writers could do to please the unruly constituents. They break up Booth and the opposite-of-loved Hannah, and you'd think there'd at least be a cheer for that. They give Booth and Bones a climactic scene of emotional reconciliation at the bar, which incidentally is one of David Boreanaz' most affecting scenes in a long while. It's called drama, folks. That said, I don't think anyone is blind to the fact that fans were more irritated than pleased about the Hannah obstacle, but now that they've fixed it and reset the Booth-Bones partnership with some new shadings of awareness of just what they mean to each other, I'm thinking maybe we can just sit back and enjoy the show again for a while. I don't think the show or certainly the central relationship is irreparably broken, and the numbers (thankfully abetted by the American Idol lead-in) seem to bear that out.

BONES: Where Do Booth and Brennan Go From Here?
Are we all good?
Okay.
As you guys know, Booth and Hannah are dunzo. Booth, dude, she freaked out last time you tried to propose…why did you think this time would be any better?
For some of you, I’d imagine the abrupt breakup wasn’t what you were expecting.
Judging by some of the comments we got here on the site, I’m guessing several of you are just glad she’s gone, no matter how fast it was.
However, according to BONES creator Hart Hanson, the breakup was intentionally sudden...

Mega Buzz: The Proposal
ADAM: Where's the fun in that? Executive producer Stephen Nathan summed up the episode in three words: Big. Game. Changer. "We've existed this whole year with Booth and Brennan accepting, admitting and also denying their feelings for each another and with Booth in a very serious relationship with another woman — much to the dismay of a lot of fans," Nathan says with a laugh. "I think the episode will be a satisfying conclusion to this story line and also a great start for the next development that happens in the show emotionally. It will be very difficult and very painful, and David [Boreanaz] really brings that home."

Westfield native Michelle Joyner has job to die for
WESTFIELD – Connie Joyner estimates she has watched her actress daughter die more than a half-dozen times – most memorably plummeting 4,000 feet to the Earth in the first five minutes of “Cliffhanger,” a 1993 thriller starring Sylvester Stallone.
Luckily, Michelle Joyner is alive and well and living in Brentwood, Calif., with her 11-year-old twin boys and her director husband.
The Westfield native has consistently scored film and television roles since the early 1990s, after striking out to become a model in New York City following her graduation from high school in 1979.
Since her breakout role as the ill-fated “Sarah” in the Stallone movie, Michelle Joyner has starred in films with Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Kline and other Hollywood A-listers in addition to dozens of guest spots on popular TV series from “Knots Landing” to “The X-Files” and Thursday evening will appear in the popular Fox series, “Bones.”
