ADAM: Executive producer Stephen Nathan says that Brennan will no doubt wrestle with regret about her decisions last season, but it may be Booth who torpedoes his new relationship. "He has forged a new life for himself emotionally," Nathan says. "Of course, all of this occurred when he was not around Brennan. So Brennan's presence in the mix will alter the relationship — it just has to. He's moved on, but whether he continues to move on is another thing entirely."

Q&A: Kathy Reichs of Bones
It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes mystery novelist Kathy Reichs will see an episode of Bones and feel pangs of story-idea jealousy. The show’s writers, she says, are quite resourceful at crafting unique scenarios for their whodunits. “I’m sometimes amazed at how they dig out some of the ideas for the different stories,” says Reichs, the scientist/author whose books and professional life inspired the long-running Fox crime drama. “In each show, we try to visit some different arena, like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame arena or the urban spelunking arena or the world of pathological plastic surgery. Every now and then, I’ll think, ‘Why didn’t I think of that? Hmm, I need to be more creative in my settings.’ ” Reichs, who also gets a producer credit on the show, which begins its sixth season in September, actually has nothing to worry about. She seems to have no trouble coming up with new ideas for books featuring forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, the character played onscreen by Emily Deschanel. Bones Exclusive: David Alan Grier to Woo Brennan?
David Alan Grier has been tapped to guest-star as a Bill Nye the Science Guy type on Bones, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Grier will play Professor Bunsen Jude the Science Dude, a quirky host of a children's TV program. As we first reported, he comes to the Jeffersonian Institute hoping to get Brennan (Emily Deschanel) on his show as a guest scientist.

“I’m not sure if I’m still with the doctor,” Tamara Taylor says of Cam’s somewhat awkward hook-up with her daughter’s OBGYN. “We’ll see!” Which is not to say there won’t be palpable romance beyond whatever’s going on with Brennan and Booth. After all, Angela and Hodgins are kicking back in Paris when they are beckoned back to D.C. after a seven-month absence. “It has been very romantic – lots of berets, cheese and wine, ” Michaela Conlin tells me. But with that one frantic phone call, “The honeymoon has ended,” she sighs. “They have to get back to reality.”

Yes, it’s true – when Fox’s ‘Bones‘ kicks off its sixth season, it will be revealed that Temperance Brennan put a pin in her life with Booth and flew across the world to an exotic excavation for exactly nothing.
In the September 23 season opener, at the time Bones gets a call from D.C. that Cam is in trouble, “I am looking through nothing. Looking through dirt,” Emily Deschanel shares in the red-carpet video below...
