In a follow-up to David Boreanaz talking Bones, Fox held a conference call this afternoon with real-life Temperance Brennan inspiration and show producer Kathy Reichs, in order to promote next week’s episode, “The Witch in the Wardrobe”. This will mark her first time writing an episode for the series that was based off of her life and successful book series.
During the course of the conference call, Reichs talks about the future of the series, the development of the shows characters, the impact of Twitter, how O.J. kicked off the whole forensic television craze and so much more.
Check out some of the highlights below. (I know it’s long, but Kathy Reichs is incredibly engrossing and almost everything she said could be considered a highlight.)
Oh, and Bones fans… In case you’re wondering, this is entirely SPOILER-FREE.
According to TV By the Numbers, Bones' ratings held even from last week.

1. If it happens, the time shift will occur between this season’s finale and next season’s premiere.
2. If it happens, it’ll be because, I’m told, the network wanted to shake up the show and its characters, opening doors to new stories and closing doors on old ones.
3. If it happens… I’ll (hopefully) be telling you about it in the next few weeks.

If I did, you’d be screaming for the season finale to be on your TV screen, like, right now.
How close to the cliff or drunk do I need to be for the ‘Bones’ finale? – Rayne73
This is how exec producer Stephen Nathan describes his season-ending serving of the show’s better-than-ever “Will they/won’t they” drama: “We’re taking it to a new level.” So to answer your question: Very.

Source: Futon CriticEmily Deschanel has claimed that her Bones character Brennan could still begin a relationship with Booth (David Boreanaz).
In the 100th episode of the show, Brennan informed Booth that she does not want a relationship with him.
However, Deschanel told TV Guide that she believes the duo could still get together.
"There's definitely a future for Booth and Brennan," she said. "People should not be giving up at all. I think they very much belong together."
Deschanel added that Brennan is trying to "protect herself" by rejecting Booth.
"I think it's so scary to her still," she continued. "She was abandoned and it's too scary to open herself up in that way."
Boreanaz claimed that the relationship will "continue to grow", while Deschanel revealed that the season finale will have an impact on the couple.
"There are some big changes for them in the finale that affects the future in a big way," she said.
