‘Bones’ Producer Talks Forensics, Relationships & More
Bones producer Kathy Reichs is writing an episode of the series she inspired. Check out what the real-life Tempe has to say.
In a follow-up to David Boreanaz talking Bones, Fox held a conference call this afternoon with real-life Temperance Brennan inspiration and show producer Kathy Reichs, in order to promote next week’s episode, “The Witch in the Wardrobe”. This will mark her first time writing an episode for the series that was based off of her life and successful book series.
During the course of the conference call, Reichs talks about the future of the series, the development of the shows characters, the impact of Twitter, how O.J. kicked off the whole forensic television craze and so much more.
Check out some of the highlights below. (I know it’s long, but Kathy Reichs is incredibly engrossing and almost everything she said could be considered a highlight.)

'Bones's' Tamara Taylor: Season finale is 'going to leave people wondering'

Michaela at the Prism Awards

It looks like every show fell in ratings this week from its last original episode with the exception of Flash Forward. Bones, however is still in second place above all other newly aired shows and is first in scripted shows for the night. With adjusted ratings, Bones was above 9 million (which, by the way, is considered to be excellent ratings).

'Bones': David Boreanaz spills on Booth's 'aggressive' new love interest
It's been a long time coming, but Thursday (April 22) on "Bones," a woman -- whose name isn't Brennan -- catches Booth's eye.
I know, I know. It hurts us, too.
But as we've said before, peep the evil eye Brennan's giving this Dr. Bryar chick (Rena Sofer). Maybe this will be what it takes for her to realize she wants to take a chance on a relationship with Booth.
And in the meantime, Booth deserves a little bit of happiness after his heartbreak, no?

Apparently, there were some people out there who were disappointed with the ending of the 100th episode of 'Bones' or thought it was out of character. And to those people I say ... really?
As with any team, the CliqueClack writers’ team has its interpersonal dynamics. Usually it goes like this: Ivey has an opinion, and Kona and/or I who agree on (almost) everything, will disagree with him. Later I will check everyone else’s opinion around the internet using various fan communities, blogs, twitter, etc, and find, nine out of ten times, that people have all overwhelmingly agreed with me. I will then present this as proof to Ivey, who will take it as a badge of honor that his opinion was right because he sees above the masses, and I will take it as proof that Ivey just likes being contrary because that’s what he does. And we leave it until the next disagreement. It works well for us.
This one, though, I’m not letting go. Because I don’t just kind of disagree about the staging of a number on Glee (I agree I was wrong about the Sue Sylvester storyline, Ivey! That time was the one and only time I have been wrong, but I was so totally wrong), I vehemently and violently disagree with Ivey and the, say, 20% of you who think that the ending on last Thursday’s Bones was ridiculous, or annoying, or out of character, or could have happened any other way.
Really, you guys? You were disappointed in Brennan for not falling headlong into a relationship with Booth? You thought that would be more in-character? If so, I must quote Dr. Zach Addy. I can only conclude that you are stupid.
That, or you’ve conveniently forgotten what show you’re watching.

No Bones about it, romance kills
Another view on the subject... (I expect that there'll be a lot of comments in this section!) One thing... remember that Moonlighting crashed because the costars hated one another--very different situation for ED & DB!
History is littered with the remains of shows that fizzled and died when the old will they or won't they sexual chemistry was resolved.
Think David and Maddie in Moonlighting, Fran Fine and Mr Sheffield in The Nanny and Maggie and PJ from Blue Heelers.
So it's understandable that Bones star Emily Deschanel wanted to keep her show's character Dr Temperance Brennan and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (played by David Boreanaz) apart for as long as possible.

While re-watching the most recent episode of Bones, "The Death of the Queen Bee," it occurred to me that there were a lot of key moments and significant clues hidden in the episode that I missed while watching it the first time around. Shocking, right? I know. I too am a little disappointed in myself.
Yet, I suppose I must give props to the brilliant writers of the show. They are always keeping us on our toes, and, although we are all desperately asking for spoilers from people like Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan, I believe that all the answers we need lie in the episodes themselves.

HH Tweets: The SERIES Should Be a Reassurance
Fan: After seeing the 100th ep. and expressing outrage and then recieving explanations I am comfortable in saying that you guys... at Bones only want to prolong the inevitable. 'Bones' characters 'could start romance'
Emily Deschanel has claimed that her Bones character Brennan could still begin a relationship with Booth (David Boreanaz).
In the 100th episode of the show, Brennan informed Booth that she does not want a relationship with him.
However, Deschanel told TV Guide that she believes the duo could still get together.
"There's definitely a future for Booth and Brennan," she said. "People should not be giving up at all. I think they very much belong together."
Deschanel added that Brennan is trying to "protect herself" by rejecting Booth.
"I think it's so scary to her still," she continued. "She was abandoned and it's too scary to open herself up in that way."
Boreanaz claimed that the relationship will "continue to grow", while Deschanel revealed that the season finale will have an impact on the couple.
"There are some big changes for them in the finale that affects the future in a big way," she said.
