Bubble Watch: Message to 'Bones' Fans: Relax!

Bones dropped 40% from its Monday showing in its Friday premiere. While that drop is alarming, the Friday showing was still at 80% of Fox’s scripted average for the week! (Out of all the Friday shows on all the broadcast networks, only Grimm is doing above 80% of its network average.) While it is possible that Fox could have enough new dramas survive this year to allow them to part with Bones (we’ll know more next week when we see the Almost Human numbers), I don’t think it is likely, so I am keeping it as “Renewal Predicted”.

‘Bones’ Moves to Friday Night With Jury Duty, a Ghost Killer and Family Secrets

FOX has announced several times previously that it was going to move “Bones” to a Friday night timeslot, but it never came to pass — until now. This Friday, Nov. 15, the series, which stars Emily Deschanel as Temperance Brennan and David Boreanaz as her new hubby/FBI Agent Sealy Booth, finally makes the move.
“For a long time it was always upsetting when we would get moved around,” executive producer Stephen Nathan said in a conference call to promote the change. “We are team players. If they feel they need us someplace, we’ll go there. It’s always been proven that wherever we go, the audience follows.”...

Exclusive Bones First Look: Booth Goes to First Base With Brennan — While Driving

Someone needs to tell Booth that feeling up your spouse while operating a moving vehicle is illegal in the nation’s capital, because that’s essentially what he’s doing in the following clip from this Friday’s episode of Bones (8/7c, Fox)...

Bones: The Honeymoon Is Over — Now What?

Bones fans will get a double dose of action this week.
The show will air a new episode on Monday (8/7c, Fox) before shifting into its new timeslot (Fridays at 8/7c) later in the week. And even though lead characters Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) recently got married, executive producer Stephen Nathan insists the show is nowhere near finished...

Bones Boss Opens Up About Friday Move, Hodgins' Family Secret and… a New Couple!

Bones is finally making the move to Fridays at 8/7c this week after years of dodging the oft-stigmatized night. But executive producer Stephen Nathan isn’t fretting about the show’s new home.
“Thankfully, this has happened at a time when the days of the week really don’t mean all that much on television anymore,” said Nathan during a recent conference call. “So many people timeshift the show… We still have a large audience that watches us when we are on, but I’m not that concerned with Friday. I think all these loyal fans are going to come over to Friday.”...

(Full Transcript) Q&A Interview with BONES EP Stephen Nathan About Rest of Season 9 & Series Moving to Fridays

Earlier today, TV Tango participated in a conference call with BONES Executive Producer Stephen Nathan, who dished about the show's next serial killer called the Ghost Killer, discussed details about multiple upcoming episodes, and revealed which team members, squinterns and guest stars will be highlighted this season.

Tonight, Monday, November 11, at 8pm ET/PT FOX airs an all-new episode of BONES before moving the series to Fridays at 8pm later this week, when FOX airs another all-new episode of BONES on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT.

Question: Can you discuss what we're going to learn about Hodgins' past that we don't know?

Stephen Nathan: Well, that's going to be a little bit further down the line. That might not air until February. Very briefly, Hodgins finds out some things about his family -- and he had a very close family. They were very, very wealthy, but he did have a close family. He's going to find out some secrets about that family that are going to be quite surprising to him. It's not going to be grand political secrets or anything like that; it's going to be very, very personal.

In another upcoming episode, Hodgins is somebody who is sent out into the field -- something he always loves the chance to do -- because there is a murder that revolves around a family that was close to his family when he was growing up; so he's going into a world of wealth that he no longer enjoys...
