'Bones' is back: Here's why you should be excited

After what's been one of the longest midseason hiatus periods ever, Bones is officially back.
But the wait for the show's return is going to be well worth it.
Executive producer Stephen Nathan and star Emily Deschanel gave Mashable a bunch of scoop for what Nathan is calling "Season 10, 2.0," and all of it promises heaps of drama and fun.
In short: there's a big pregnancy, a big problem, and a big load of cash...

(Video, Youtube) BONES: Carla Gallo on Having to Give Birth On-Screen -

BONES’ Daisy is having a baby, and while Carla Gallo (Daisy) had some hesitancy about having to film the labor experience, fans will get to see the child be born in the next episode, “The Puzzler in the Pit.” Of course, the moment will be extra meaningful for all the characters involved (and the viewers), since the father of Daisy’s son is Sweets (Daisy’s off-on boyfriend), who died in the season premiere. (AKA, odds are good there will be some tears.) So what will the birth be like? I spoke with Gallo (who was accompanied by fellow squintern Eugene Byrd, AKA Clark at the 200th episode celebration on the BONES set last week, and whom had his own praise for Gallo) to get her take on it…

Bones Baby Scoop: Facts of Life Vet to Deliver Sweets and Daisy's Son

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have… the sure-to-be bittersweet birth of Daisy and Sweets’ son.

Enter Mindy Cohn.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Bones has enlisted the Facts of Life vet to inject some lightness and levity into single-mom Daisy’s delivery as her New Age-focused doula.
The character, Valentina, is into crystals, vibes, and spiritual energy and is adamant that childbirth must be a peaceful and non-traumatic process. She dims the birthing room lights and pipes in bird sounds while Daisy’s in labor because a “peaceful mother makes a happy baby.”
Look for Cohn’s Valentina to bring Daisy and Sweets’ lil’ guy into the world in an early-December episode, titled “The Puzzler In The Pit.”
In the meantime, Sweets’ ex Jessica (Laura Spencer), resurfaces in this Thursday’s episode — and finds herself smack dab in the middle of a little Booth-Brennan work fight. Exclusive video below!...

BONES: Carla Gallo on Filming Sweets’ Memorial, Possibly Giving Birth On-Screen, and More

The BONES team said goodbye to Sweets in “The Lance to the Heart” in a very appropriate way: they gathered together, shared stories of what he meant to him, and sang “Coconut” as they scattered his ashes. I spoke with BONES’ Carla Gallo (Daisy) about filming the memorial for her on-screen love, possibly giving birth on-screen, her favorite Sweets/Daisy moment, and more…

Bones Producer Explains Loss of a Beloved Character, Teases What's Next

Last week, Bones Season 10 episode 1 left us with a shocking death... and an awful lot of questions.
How will the shooting affect Booth and Brennan? And just how dark will this season be? Executive producer Stephen Nathan may just have a few answers and he shared them with press during a recent conference call...

Bones EP Stephen Nathan Talks Recent Death, New Stories & Big 200th

The expression ‘May you live in interesting times’ could certainly be applied to Bones recently.
The show has just kicked off its 10th season on FOX and within the space of two episodes has explored themes of love and loss, dealt with a character’s PTSD, seen conspiracies unravelled, placed major characters in real danger and killed off a long standing fan favorite.
Stephen Nathan, Bones Executive Producer joined ScreenSpy on a call this week to discuss the recent upheavals, where the show will take its audience this year, new character additions, and surprise returns and of course, that hotly anticipated 200th episode.
Full highlights from our lengthy(!) call follow below:...

BONES: Carla Gallo on Daisy’s Grief, Filming ‘The Conspiracy in the Corpse,’ and More

The BONES characters were thrown for a loop when Sweets was killed in the season 10 premiere, but no one was more devastated than squintern, Daisy, Sweets’ off-on love — and the mother of his unborn son.

I spoke with BONES’ Carla Gallo (Daisy) about her off and on-screen devastation about Sweets’ death, filming “The Conspiracy in the Corpse,” and more…

How did they pitch you what Daisy would be going through this season?
Carla Gallo: I have a feeling I pitched them a little bit! I don’t think [Daisy's pregnancy] was necessarily in the cards; I think they had called to get me for the first episode, and my manager was like, well, she’s humongously pregnant. And they were like, we’ll call you back. And they said, yep, we’ll work it in. Which was pretty unbelievable. Most actors don’t have the luxury of having a job that will do that for them? ...
