Comic Con 2013: Bones Unearths Some Season 9 Spoilers

Even though Bones is going into its 9th season, theirs was one of the most enjoyable press rooms at San Diego Comic-Con. Not only did I finally get to meet one of my personal writing idols, Hart Hanson, but both Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz were delightful, forthcoming, and hilarious interviews. If you’ve been a loyal viewer over the course of the past 8 years (like I have!) you’ll want to read on for some fun insights into the upcoming season.
Refresher: We ended Season 8 with Brennan finally coming around as far as her relationship with Booth, and asking him to marry her. He accepted, of course, but when Pelant (a recurring serial killer character) learns of their happiness, he acts quickly to destroy it—forcing Booth to break off their engagement without explanation. If he does tell Brennan the reason he changed his mind, Pelant will start killing people, and Booth will have to live knowing their blood is on his hands.
When asked whether or not Pelant will play a significant role in all of Season 9, producer/creator/writer Hart Hanson hedged his bets....
