First Family Guy, now another Fox show may be co-mingling with Booth and Brennan.
You have to give credit to the producers of Fox's Bones; they're not afraid of toying around with their light-hearted forensics drama. Case in point: Last season they made the shocking choice of writing a crossover episode with Family Guy. An animated program. It's still a head-scratcher.
But it worked -- just take a look at the episode's 9.4 rating by TV.com users.
Having conquered their first crossover, Bones writers may now be looking at a second, albeit much more traditional, cross-pollination.
According to EW.com, there's very early discussion to bring over Lie to Me's fib-detector Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) to work a case with Bones' Booth and Brennan. However, talks are so new that it "may not even happen."
Crossovers are dangerous ground to tread, but Bones is one of those rare programs that's perfectly suited for them. Kudos to Fox for even entertaining the idea and trusting Bones' scribes to do it justice.
