Press Tour: July 2014 FOX Executive Session Live-Blog

Kevin Reilly is gone.
Dana Walden and Gary Newman won't be taking over and Chairmen and CEOs for the newly formed FOX Television Group until the end of the month.
That means that on Sunday (July 20) morning, our Television Critics Association press tour Fox Executive Session is with Fox Network Group CEO and Chairman Peter Rice, who hasn't met with us for several years and even when he did meet with us, it was always clear that he was far enough above the network's day-to-day that our questions weren't part of his thought process.
At least he'll be able to talk about the FOX executive restructuring, which will make for a buzz-y panel, I'm sure.

TCA: Fox’s Peter Rice On New Executive Structure; Future Of Pilot Model; More ’24,’ ‘Bones’

TCA: Fox’s Peter Rice On New Executive Structure; Future Of Pilot Model; More ’24,’ ‘Bones’
With the departure of Fox’s previous top programming executive and the network’s new co-heads not in place yet, their boss, Fox Networks Group chairman Peter Rice, took the stage on his own at the network’s executive session at the TCAs this morning. Top question of the day: Fox’s new executive structure, in which the network and sibling 20th TV are both under the oversight of the same executives, Dana Walden and Gary Newman.
“We’d been the odd man out,” Rice said, a reference to the other broadcast networks, which have closely integrated with their studios. “As competition for talent has become more intense, it has put us at a disadvantage, and to have the network and the studio aligned would be helpful.”...

'Bones' season 11? More '24'? Fox chief gives odds

What are the odds that Bones will get an 11th season?
What about Jack Bauer returning to fight yet another day?
Fox chairman and CEO Peter Rice was asked by critics at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills on Sunday on the chances of both shows getting another season.
On 24, which had a somewhat modestly rated return this summer for Live Another Day, Rice said: “I loved this year’s season of 24 … I’ve always been a fan …we haven’t had a specific conversation…I’m sure we will in the future … It’s a wonderful franchise … they did a great job this year … when you look at the show itself, it has many more stories to tell.”..
