Over the past year, there have been few network dramas with as strange of a path on TV as “
Bones.”
The show was delayed until November last fall thanks to Emily
Deschanel’s pregnancy, and the season was thus only given a 13-episode
order initially. However, there were four “bonus” episodes that were
ordered that would operate as standalone stories — the producers didn’t
know when they would air, and there was some talk that they could even
end up being put on during the low-rated summer months.
The good news for the show is that these episodes are going to be
part of the upcoming fall season, and executive producer Stephen Nathan
promises (per
TV Guide) that one of them in particular is going to give an opportunity for a supporting character to shine: ...
