In fourth[(for all of Thursday night], Fox's premieres for "Bones" (9.8 million, 2.7) and "Fringe" (5.8 million, 2.1) felt the heat. "Bones" was down 13%; "Fringe" was off 30%, though Fox premiered the show a week earlier last year.

Bones held up OK at 8pm with a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, though it too was down 13% from last year’s premiere. Last year Bones premiered a week earlier. As was typical last year when there was full competition, and new shows on NBC at 9pm, Fringe wasn’t strong with a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Fringe was down 30% from last year’s premiere, but like Bones, last week it premiered a week earlier (that night its only new competition was on NBC and CW).
