When Fox’s Bones returned last week, Booth (David Boreanaz) came back from Afghanistan a man in love. The culprit: Hannah Burley, a war correspondent that Booth met during his time overseas. Given how hardcore fans of Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth are, it’s no surprise that Hannah’s introduction has been met with some uproar. And her first episode — this Thursday at 8 p.m. — hasn’t even aired yet!
“I hope the audience will give Hannah’s character a chance,” says Katheryn Winnick, who plays Booth’s new love. Winnick, who started her own martial arts school at the age of sixteen and has black belts in Tae Kwon Do and karate — don’t mess with her! — recently chatted with members of the press about her character and what she brings to the show.
