Response: Jack Hodgins the actual living novelist is my dearest friend and mentor. He is a serious literary writer, not a pulp novelist.

HH Response: I type BONES so I don't have to type "Bones" on Twitter and lose two characters out of 140. Does that count as trivia?

The question: What's with the stooge references?
HH Response: Exec Producer Stephen Nathan has an unhealthy and inexplicable love for the Stooges. I humor Stephen because he's wonderful.

Question: @HartHanson Are there any plans to bring back Marisa Coughlan as Agent Perotta next season, or is her time up?
HH Response: We hope to have her back. She was busy having a baby at the end of last season.
Question: @HartHanson Is there any link between Brennan's nickname and Leonard McCoy ? Nice to read that you had nice vacations !
Question: Any more Bones scoop? Pretty please? --Charlee Ann
Ausiello: Since it doesn't look like Brennan and Booth will be having real sex anytime soon, how about Brennan and her bisexual BFF Angela? "We've never discussed that but I wouldn't put it past [producers]," says Emily Deschanel with a chuckle. "I feel like Brennan's the type of character that if she had feelings for a woman she wouldn't question that and she'd go for it. But it would be kind of complicated with her best friend."

Hart Hanson, executive producer of " Bones," has almost everything a show runner could want -- a hit series with a hot leading man and woman, praise from critics and a loyal and growing fan base.
But one day a year, Hansen laments what he hasn't got. On those annual mid-July mornings when the nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards are announced, Hanson always hopes to see his show among the list of award contenders. And he is almost always let down.
"It's very troubling to me," says Hansen, who was also a producer of "Joan of Arcadia" and "Judging Amy." "We're not in the zeitgeist. It's like we're invisible. I always look at the nominees with one eye open, and I'm always disappointed."
"Bones," after four seasons, ranks with several other popular or critically acclaimed (and in some cases, both) series, including " Ghost Whisperer," " Rules of Engagement," " Numb3rs," "Friday Night Lights" and "Criminal Minds" that rarely wind up with nominations or nods in marquee categories. While some series, such as " 30 Rock," " Lost," " Entourage," "The Office" and "24," are almost certain to get recognized each season, there are plenty of others that are consistently shut out of the race.Original article located here

RE: new format
You did look at this before you sent it out, didn’t you? I don’t think that the public is going to be very happy with this, especially considering the advance publicity you released. Thank God I’m used to the duplicity of marketing executives.
It’s a rather weak entry in the Temperance Brennan, Forensic Anthropologist series. You’re never going to option this as a television show unless you do some serious work on it.
Anyway, here is the summary (and my comments) on “Brennan and Booth Live Happily Ever After.”

Q. Ratings for “Bones” are consistently up. Do you keep track?
Yes, I do and you're right, the ratings are increasing steadily. We're now the second highest scripted drama on Fox, behind “House.” We are absolutely getting better, and I think Emily (Deschanel) and David (Boreanaz) are a wonderful pair.… We've blended a number of things that make the show unique. We have a dark subjQ. Planning to do any acting in season five of “Bones”?
I'll probably do one next year. I'll write a script myself and the executive producers have suggested I write a little part for myself. I was reluctant to do it, but I really had a good time when I was on the show before. They may have created a monster.
