I know specifically what’s at stake, but must defer to exec producer Stephen Nathan to speak of it in more vague terms. He says the nature of the May 20 finale is such that “it allowed us to take the show in a completely different direction for the last four episodes and end the season in a very surprising way. We’re not retreading old ground, which is a very difficult thing to do when you have a show with this ‘Will they, won’t they’ dynamic. You really want to do something that breaks that mold.” And yes, that “something” involves one nifty cliffhanger.
Note: Marisa Roffman tweeted @Stamos back and said, " See, I don't see it as a cliffhanger." Cliffie? No cliffie? Guess we'll have to wait and see!
