Bones' Hodgins (TJ Thyne) "foreshock"
was actually a potential life-changer: the items being disturbed in the
lab were actually disturbed by him—Hodgins is regaining movement in his
formerly paralyzed legs...

Bones' Michaela Conlin: Angela and Hodgins' Tension Reaches a 'Fever Pitch'
Bones' Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (TJ Thyne) are going through a rough patch—and the worst is still ahead.
Though the long-time couple have seen their share of bumps of the road—most notably when they broke up for two years, before reuniting (and quickly marrying) in Season 5—but Hodgins' paralysis has led to tension between the duo as he gets increasingly frustrated with his new limitations....

Bones Boss: Hodgins Is a "Volcano" in Paralysis Aftermath
Hodgins (TJ Thyne) is going to have an expectedly hard time getting used to being paralyzed.
The Jeffersonian's "bug guy" will return to work in Thursday's spring premiere of the series with a smile on his face and a lot of optimism, but the cheer will dissipate as the challenges of having to use a wheelchair become more apparent. Hodgins doesn't have the perpetrator of his injury to blame, so he unleashes his bitter venom on his co-workers.
TVGuide.com chatted with Bones executive producer Michael Peterson about Hodgins' return to work and his relationship with Angela (Michaela Conlin)...

'Bones' EP teases what's next for Hodgins, Booth and Brennan, S12 and more
"Bones"
finally returns this week after a much too long hiatus. On Tuesday,
April 12, executive producer/co-showrunner Michael Peterson spoke with
reporters about what's coming up with Hodgins' paralysis, the newest
serial killer and the team's relationships – and even gave a few teases
for season 12.
When "Bones" season 11 left off, Hodgins was paralyzed following an explosion at a crime scene. When they talked to TJ Thyne about it, "he could not have been more excited to really stretch his legs as an actor by not using his legs," the EP shared, going on to say that they didn't want this to be something that was "very quick and done." Instead, they "wanted to make sure it affected everybody" and you'll see how everyone reacts. For example, "Booth is much more about the hope and Brennan is looking strictly at the science of the situation, which is not so hopeful."...

Ask Ausiello: March 17
Question: I am so happy Bones finally has a return date! Do you have any more scoop you can share with us about the second half of the season? —Cassidy
Ausiello: A paralyzed Hodgins has a genuine smile on his face in the first scene of the the April 14 midseason premiere, which picks up eight weeks into his rehabilitation. However, he has a tough time maintaining that cheery attitude as the hour progresses. The first emotional setback is dealt by Cam, of all people, while the second one arrives in the form of a phone call from [Spoiler].

Bones Review: Where Do We Go From Here?
No one saw that coming.
We’ve been told that the Bones Season 11 Fall Finale would involve a “major shake-up,” but there’s no way we could have prepared ourselves for this.
If you haven’t watched both episodes in their entirety yet, stop reading this and go watch now, because there’s a serious spoiler ahead.
Let’s start with the lighter side of things, though. The first half of the two-part fall finale has Booth and Brennan going undercover in a whole new way, and it’s pretty amazing.
That’s right. Buck and Wanda are back, but this time, they’re a little different. Instead of Booth and Brennan going undercover as a power couple as we’ve seen in the past, Brennan sets them up as strangers. It’s and Old-West style shooting competition, and the two of them find themselves getting competitive with each other...

Bones Fall Finale: Executive Producer Michael Peterson Clarifies That Heartbreaking Cliffhanger
Bones dealt a powerful blow to the show's "King of the Lab."
The second hour of the two-part fall finale, started off brutal enough: Cam (Tamara Taylor), Hodgins (TJ Thyne) and Aubrey (John Boyd) were investigating remains when a bomb—hidden in the body—exploded. Cam, who was nearby on a call, was safe, but Aubrey and Hodgins sustained injuries; Aubrey's were more severe, as he pushed Hodgins from the scene and then sheltered him from the explosion. Hodgins was able to walk out of the hospital, whereas Aubrey underwent surgery to treat his wounds. But appearances were misleading, and after the case was solved—and just after Hodgins and Angela (Michaela Conlin) decided to try for another child—he collapsed. A trip to the hospital revealed that Hodgins was paralyzed, and the damage he sustained in the explosion had set in 24 hours after the initial injury.
Surprisingly, Hodgins's injury won't be a decision Bones undoes in the next episode. So we spoke with Bones co-showrunner Michael Peterson about Hodgins' new way of life and how it will impact the team, plus the time jump and the new serial killer that fans should expect when the show returns in 2016...

Bones Shocker: TJ Thyne on What That Heartbreaking Twist Means for Angela and Hodgins
The bomb that went off on Thursday's midseason finale of Bones may have blown up one of the show's key relationships.
The second episode of the two-hour finale opened with an explosion that sent Aubrey (John Boyd) to the hospital with some pretty scary injuries, which he sustained by shielding Hodgins (TJ Thyne) from the blast. However, the episode ended with a devastating twist: While Aubrey eventually left the hospital and seemed to be OK, Hodgins' bumps and bruises turned out to be much more severe after some delayed swelling around his spinal cord leaves Hodgins paralyzed...

Someone get Hodgins a new rubber band to snap.
Thursday’s midseason finale of Bones detonated a bomb that sent both Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Aubrey (John Boyd) to the hospital. But while Aubrey’s injuries seemed to be more severe, it was Hodgins who ultimately suffered serious complications, collapsing in the lab with a spinal cord injury. Faced with the latest MRIs, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) gave Angela (Michaela Conlin) the sobering diagnosis: Hodgins is paralyzed...

Did last night’s Bones totally make it seem like Angela and Hodgins are going to have another baby? — Sarah
I caught that too.
